Occupational Therapist Opportunity K-12 School Setting
A contract position is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This role is based in Apopka, FL, within an educational environment that supports the development and success of children and adolescents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each students needs.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities essential for academic performance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate therapeutic goals into classroom activities and support inclusive learning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, session notes, and compliance with school and state guidelines.
- Participate in meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license valid for practice in Florida.
- Experience working within a K-12 educational setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development and school-based therapy practices.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals.
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain detailed, timely documentation.
