Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - K-12 School Setting A K-12 school in the Bridgeport, CT area seeks a skilled, certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). This position is a contract role for the upcoming school year (NSY), offering flexibility for either full-time or part-time candidates. The opportunity includes serving 1-2 school locations and allows for open caseload preferences to best fit the clinician's expertise and interests. Responsibilities: Assess, diagnose, plan, and provide speech-language therapy services to students across grades K-12 Collaborate with educators, parents, and other related service providers to support individualized education plans (IEPs) Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines Tailor interventions to meet diverse student needs, focusing on communication development and fluency improvement Qualifications: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience providing speech therapy services in school settings preferred Ability to manage caseload effectively and adapt to varying student needs Strong communication and organizational skills Willingness to support either full-time or part-time schedules Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut Service provided at up to two school sites within the district This contract position offers a unique chance to apply clinical expertise in a dynamic educational environment.
