Occupational Therapist (OT) Full-Time Gibsonton, FL

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a dedicated and licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) for a full-time, on-site position in a supportive school district located in Gibsonton, Florida. This is an excellent opportunity to help K12 students develop the skills necessary for academic success and daily living through individualized therapy and support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and observations to assess students functional abilities and needs

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and therapy goals tailored to each students strengths and areas for growth

• Provide direct therapy services to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care abilities, and school participation

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance student access to the curriculum

• Track and document student progress, modifying intervention strategies as needed

• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with state and federal special education guidelines

• Provide strategies, resources, and training to staff and families to support skill carryover outside of therapy sessions

• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

• Commitment to fostering student independence and participation
