Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification is sought to provide specialized services within a K-12 public school setting in Bennington, VT. This opportunity follows the traditional school calendar, running approximately from August 27, 2025, through June 15, 2026, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet student needs Delivering high-quality, research-based speech and language instruction Assisting with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) Collaborating effectively with educators, support staff, external agencies, and families to support student success Monitoring and documenting student progress through consistent data collection and analysis Supervising paraprofessionals as required to enhance service delivery Maintaining open, regular communication with parents and guardians to promote transparency and engagement The caseload will consist of 50 to 60 students, served either across two elementary schools or one middle school. This position requires in-person attendance and mandates that the candidate holds current licensure as per Vermont state requirements. Candidates should have: A valid Vermont state license for Speech-Language Pathology Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with K-12 populations Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and family engagement Ability to utilize data-driven methods to monitor and support student progress This role offers the chance to make a measurable impact on the communication skills and educational outcomes of school-aged children in a supportive and structured environment.
