Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a school setting. This full-time contract position is designed to cover a leave from September through October, with working hours approximately 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. The role is based in the Burlington, MA area, serving students who may require specialized behavioral interventions. Key Qualifications: Valid certification as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Experience working with students exhibiting severe behaviors Ability to implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of school-based therapy protocols and regulations Responsibilities: Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students to enhance their functional performance and participation in school activities Assess students' needs and create or adapt therapy interventions that address motor skills, sensory processing, and behavior management Monitor and document student progress regularly and adjust therapeutic strategies accordingly Provide consultative support to educators and staff to facilitate student success Maintain compliance with educational and therapy documentation standards Location: Full-time position based in Burlington, MA, with service coverage for schools in the surrounding Massachusetts areas including Cambridge.
