This contract position offers the opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based therapy for the 2025-2026 academic year. The role involves supporting a K-12 student caseload within multiple school settings in Tacoma, WA, delivering essential therapeutic services to enhance student participation and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify student needs
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and implement effective strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation, including therapy plans and progress reports
- Manage caseload by providing between 900 and 950 direct service minutes weekly, distributed across 4-5 schools depending on student needs
- Serve students across both elementary and secondary levels
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Washington State
- Endorsement as Educational Staff Associate (ESA)
- Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
