    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
    • Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date
    • Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently, manage a caseload, and travel within the district if needed
    • Must be 21 years of age.
    • Satisfactory Child Protection Registry.
    • Mantoux skin test/PPD documentation.
    • Cooperative Attitude.
    • Good oral and written communication and the ability to present information effectively
    • The State of Delaware requires all public school employees to undergo a criminal background check (state and federal) to determine suitability for employment.
    • Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory criminal background check, which is the responsibility of the employee.
    • The State of Delaware requires new employees to be paid by direct deposit and to be part of a lag payroll system as conditions of employment.
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and interpret results to determine student needs
    • Develop and implement IEP goals and supports based on student needs
    • Provide direct and consultative therapy services for students with various disabilities
    • Address fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, and school participation needs
    • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and other related service providers
    • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress reporting
    • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
    • Educate school staff and families on strategies and tools to support student independence
    • Stay current with best practices, compliance requirements, and professional development
    • Other duties as assigned
    SALARY: As per State and Local Salary Schedules for FY26 based upon experience and educational degree
