Job Description
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 school located in Roanoke, VA. This role is a contract position for the upcoming school year and offers an excellent opportunity to provide essential speech and language services that support student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students across all K-12 grade levels.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support communication goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with school-aged children (K-12) in a clinical or educational setting.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations regarding special education services.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educators.
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently and maintain detailed records.
