A healthcare professional with expertise in occupational therapy is needed for a contract position supporting elementary school students in Naperville, IL. This role involves delivering specialized OT services across multiple classroom settings within a structured and collaborative educational environment. The position runs from mid-September through winter break, offering a consistent 35-hour workweek onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services following a 250 IEP-minute daily workload model.
- Support K-2 students two days per week in a structured learning room.
- Deliver services one day per week in a LADSE Autism classroom (K-2), sharing responsibilities with another OT.
- Work 1.5 days per week in a primarily inclusive setting with grades 3-5.
- Collaborate regularly with other occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized interventions.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois OT license required.
- Experience in both healthcare and school-based occupational therapy highly preferred.
- Ability to manage caseload effectively across multiple classroom environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working alongside educators and other therapists.
- Commitment to onsite presence and direct student interaction.
