A K-12 school in Reading, PA, is seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist to provide essential services for the upcoming school year on a contract basis. This role focuses primarily on supporting elementary-aged students with speech and language needs, helping to improve their communication skills in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Implement evidence-based interventions to address speech, language, and communication disorders
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and federal regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches for student success
Qualifications:
- PDE certification in Speech and Language (Ed Sp/Instructional I) is required
- Valid PA Speech Language Pathologist License is preferred
- ASHA Clinical Competency Certificate (CCC) is preferred
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 students, especially elementary age, is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff
