Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Winsted, Connecticut

This contract opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving students in grades 6 through 12 within a K-12 school setting in Winsted, CT. The position supports two schoolsmiddle and high schoolwith an itinerant caseload across a variety of speech and language diagnoses. This role offers a meaningful chance to work 30 hours per week during the normal school year, providing both direct therapy and indirect services including team meetings and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy services to students grades 6-12 with diverse communication needs
  • Manage a caseload consistent with district standards, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Provide therapy in both middle and high school settings, traveling as needed between campuses
  • Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress
  • Participate in team meetings and administrative activities as scheduled

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
  • Valid Connecticut SLP license (Department of Education certification preferred but not required)
  • Experience with pediatric populations in school healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively within a caseload or workload model
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
