Speech and Language Pathologist

Position Overview:Kingston Hill Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team for the upcoming school year. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students, supporting their academic and social-emotional development. This role involves assessment, intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure all students receive the support needed to succeed.Key Responsibilities:-Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments to identify students with communication disorders.-Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students.-Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups, addressing a wide range of communication disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and language.-Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students communication goals within the classroom and home environment.-Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and other records in compliance with state and federal regulations.-Assist in referring students to outside agencies or specialists as appropriate.-Participate in school-wide initiatives and meetings.-Provide training and support to school staff and parents on strategies to support speech and language development.-Provide ESY services (2 weeks and/or flexible working hours)-Provide compensatory services (as needed)Qualifications:-Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders-Valid Rhode Island Department of Education Certification.-Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.-Excellent written and oral communication skills.-Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.Application ProcessInterested candidates should apply online by submitting the following:-Cover Letter-Resume
