Job Title: Campus Attendance Clerk/Receptionist
Reports to: Principal of assigned campus, District PEIMS Coordinator
Assignment: Assigned Campus
Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt, hourly
Pay Grade: $15.86-19.76/hour, 197 days

Terms of Employment:
This FLSA non-exempt position (hourly) is on a work calendar of 197 days per school year. Pay is based on years of experience from the annually reviewed hourly salary schedule.
Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the campus office. Perform and maintain daily attendance records.
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or college degree
Experience:
One year clerical experience in office setting
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient keyboarding skills
Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow written instructions
Ability to operate multi-line phone system
Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Reception and Phones:
Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
Greet and direct campus visitors.
Assist parents in checking students in and out of school.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, messages, documents, and other deliveries.
Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes.
Other:
Assist with preparation of materials for mailing, including preparing labels, stuffing envelopes, etc.
Maintain computerized files using a personal computer, including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists.
Perform entry and maintenance of daily attendance records.
Print report cards and progress reports.
Check and verify teachers' attendance postings on a daily basis.
Assist with the scheduling of teacher conferences.
Provide clerical assistance as needed.
Maintain confidentiality.
Assist with scheduling lottery day events.
Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment weighing approximately 20 pounds.
Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours.
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
Working Conditions:
Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals
Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)
