Discusses the comprehensive school counseling program work plan with the school administrators and the supervising director to work collaboratively with staff to implement a comprehensive school counseling program. Guidance Curriculum: Provides leadership and collaborates with other educators in the school-wide integration of the State Guidance curriculum standards for student development. Implements developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities to meet students needs and school goals. Assists all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals, and plans.
Must have a Masters Degree and Licensure by the SC Department of Education in Guidance-Elementary or Secondary or Associate Guidance Secondary or Secondary Advance; and two (2) years experience teaching or counseling. Must have knowledge of the communication and cultural issues related to serving sensory impaired individuals.
