FILE: GBB TITLE: Occupational Therapist MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Certified Occupational Therapist with the educational model in a public schools setting, preferred. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Supervisor, Pupil Services SELECTION: The position is filled by the Harrison County Board of Education upon the recommendation of the superintendent SALARY AND Salary based on teacher's salary schedule plus EMPLOYMENT: approved supplement. 200 day employment term FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: 1. Responsible for providing direct and indirect supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistant(s) 2. Participate in monitoring, consultations, and direct services to students. 3. Responsible for engaging the student(s) in purposeful activities related to intervention goals and objectives 4. Maintains appropriate personal occupational therapy student file and data regarding treatment, evaluation(s), IEP's and performance. 5. Observe and assist in administration of standardized tests, criterion reference tests, clinical observations tools, and other evaluation techniques as appropriate. 6. Responsible for becoming a Medicaid Provider and completing the required forms and paperwork to bill Medicaid for eligible evaluations and therapy sessions. 7. Perform such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Supervisor of Pupil Services or the Superintendent may from time to time, assign.
