School Psychologist - MHS

The Mahopac Central School District anticipates the following probationary position for the 2026/2027 School Year: School Psychologist - Mahopac High School Valid NYS Certification as a School Psychologist. Master's degree or higher in School Psychology. Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for students; interpret and present results to support educational planning. Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings. Provide individual and group counseling per IEP requirements. Serve as 504 chairperson. Lead crisis intervention efforts and provide insight into the development of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans. Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents to create supportive learning environments and address students' diverse needs. Provide assistance to staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students. Contribute to program development that furthers the integration of social, coping, and problem-solving in the classroom. Provide support services to parents/guardians as needed. Coordinate and/or collaborate with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and families. Provide and/or assist in professional development for staff.
