Qualifications Associates Degree or higher nursing degree from an institution of higher education Hold a valid registered nurse (RN) license issued by the WV Registered Nurse Board *Currently employed by Clay County Schools as a School Nurse (RN). Responsibilities Administer basic first aid/CPR Administer daily and as needed medication to students with orders Communicate effectively and professionally with staff and parents Monitor and assist students with diabetes according to physician orders Maintain health records Ensure compliance with immunization requirements Make appropriate medical referrals Collaborate with School Based Health Center (CCWV) Enter and maintain WVEIS health records Delegation of tasks to trained staff as needed for day-to-day care Comply with HIPAA/FERPA regulations Make referrals to counselor/psychologist as needed Support student success with a goal of keeping students in school Vision and hearing screenings as needed Terms of Employment As Needed Monday - Thursday June 22, 2026 - July 10, 2026 Compenation $200 per day The Clay County School System is an equal opportunity employer.
