Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Masters or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Solid knowledge of child development, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Experience with IEPs, MTSS/RTI processes, and crisis intervention approaches
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse student needs and work across various grade levels
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to guide eligibility and program planning
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement effective behavior management strategies
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and review IEPs and behavioral plans
- Offer consultation to parents and caregivers on educational and mental health concerns
- Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives that promote a positive learning environment
- Support crisis prevention and intervention, serving as a resource during urgent situations
