Registered Nurse School Setting in Fruitport, MI

Ideal candidates will have:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Demonstrated experience supporting medically complex children, ideally in a 1:1 school setting
• Preferred but not required: Previous training or experience with ventilator and tracheostomy care
• Comfort and adaptability in riding school transportation alongside the student, with a flexible approach to changing schedules
• Strong communication skills and ability to respond calmly under pressure

In this important role, your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering personalized, hands-on care to a medically complex student during transit to and from school and throughout the day as needed
• Monitoring and attending to the students health status, including specialized medical interventions such as ventilator and tracheostomy care (training provided)
• Collaborating with school staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless, consistent care
• Maintaining accurate records of observations and interventions
• Adapting to schedule variations depending on bus routes and school location

Position Details:

• Start Date: Full 2026-2027 school year
• Location: Multiple nearby schools with morning (6 am8 am) and afternoon (3 pm5 pm) shift options; hours may vary based on transportation schedule
• Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday
