Key Qualifications:
- Current Virginia School Psychologist License
- Experience conducting psychological assessments and diagnostic testing within school settings
- Ability to provide both individual and group counseling or therapy for students
- Strong communication and collaboration skillsto work effectively with students, parents, and other educational professionals
- Knowledge of behavior intervention and modification strategies
- High level of organization for maintaining student records and producing detailed progress reports
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and diagnostic examinations for students
- Recommend action plans to enhance students learning experiences and support their social, emotional, and academic growth
- Deliver both individual and group therapeutic services
- Collaborate in the identification and placement process for students requiring additional support
- Develop and implement behavior modification techniques
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely progress updates
- Communicate effectively with families and educational staff
