Admissions Counselor

Defiance College invites enthusiastic applicants for the position of Admissions Counselor to recruit, advise, and counsel prospective students. Counselors work with immediate high school graduates, international students, veterans, graduate students and those returning to earn a degree. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the admissions counselor meets with prospective students and families, travels as a representative of the College at various college fairs and high schools, and articulates the value of a Defiance College and a liberal arts education. Desirable traits in a counselor include attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and knowledge of technology. The ideal candidate will be a team player, goal oriented, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires weekend and evening work.

This position requires a bachelor's degree in any field of study. Applicants with a master's degree in higher education are especially invited to apply.
