Category Schools - School Therapist Job Type Contract Make a difference as an Art Therapist supporting students across multiple school sites in a part-time contract opportunity. This position is designed for a passionate and skilled therapist to provide specialized art therapy services to a small caseload during the school year, delivering essential support in a flexible work environment. The assignment is scheduled from August 12, 2026, through June 4, 2027, with a commitment of approximately 5-10 hours per week. You'll work closely with students through individual weekly sessions and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct assessments and participate in annual IEP meetings. Virtual (VOCO) candidates are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates bring the following qualifications:

One of these active certifications:

- Certificate from the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification

- Certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation

- Certification from the National Recreation and Park Association (recreation or therapeutic recreation)

Prior experience as a school therapist or art therapist, preferably in educational settings

Understanding of IEP documentation and assessment practices

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Comfort with teletherapy platforms (for virtual service delivery) Role responsibilities:

Deliver creative, individualized therapeutic services (ranging from 30 to 85 minutes per session) to four students at different locations

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify student needs and track progress

Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families as part of the IEP team

Provide input during IEP meetings to support student success
