    SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
    9th District Elementary

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Hold valid certification from the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board for School Psychologist.
    • Have proven ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, faculty and administrators.
    • Have experience working in collaboration with other professionals in the school and community.
    • Have knowledge and experience with implementing Response to Intervention (academics and behavior).
    • Ability to collect, analyze, and report a range of student performance data.

    JOB GOAL:

    • To support student success through the provision of support services in the areas of consultation, assessment, problem-solving, and direct service as a School Psychologist.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide support to schools implementing Response to Intervention, including serving as a member of the School's RTI leadership team, consulting about data interpretation, and advising regarding tiered interventions.
    • Assist schools' implementation of a best practice approach to RTI-Behavior.
    • Serve as a member of the multi-factored assessment team for children in grades preschool twelve.
    • Attend Admission and Release Committee meetings to discuss evaluation components.
    • Participate in problem-solving team activities to generate and implement interventions directed toward students' successful school experiences.
    • Consult with special education and general education teachers regarding implementation of IEPs and academic/behavioral intervention plans.
    • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of crisis and behavior intervention plans.
    • Provide continuing education for parents, teachers, and teacher assistants as needed for Special Education interventions, collaboration, counseling, academic needs and adaptations, etc.
    • Participate in support services staff meetings in assigned building.
    • Conduct individual or group counseling for children/adolescents.
    • Participate as member of District Crisis Intervention Team.
    • Maintain a professional awareness of current literature in relevant areas including working knowledge of state and federal law, board policy and administrative regulations.
    • Keep informed of developments in the field and best practices of school psychologists.
    • Implements school district policies and procedures.
    • Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by immediate supervisor and/or Superintendent of Schools.

    Building Principal

    CONTRACT: 204 Days (Fully Certified) - (Interns - 187 day contract)

    SALARY: Based on Rank and Experience and 1.21 Index - Fully Certified
    Interns salary is - Rank and Experience
