This role is ideal for a nurse looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity while making a meaningful difference in students' lives. As part of a Waldorf-inspired, whole-child educational environment, our School Nurse helps ensure that students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn by addressing health-related barriers and supporting school-wide wellness. Primary Responsibilities -Conduct mandated health screenings in accordance with California Education Code -Assess student health needs and provide appropriate care and follow-up -Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff -Develop and implement Individual Health Care Plans (IHCPs) -Support IEP and 504 teams with health-related accommodations -Maintain accurate, confidential health records -Monitor communicable diseases and ensure compliance with reporting requirements -Serve as a liaison between families, staff, and healthcare providers -Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives -Respond to school site needs on an as-needed/on-call basis Skills & Qualifications -Valid California School Nurse Services Credential (required) -Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, or current California Registered Nurse (RN) license -CPR and First Aid certification -Experience working with school-aged children preferred -Interest in or familiarity with Waldorf or whole-child education a plus Why Join Golden Valley Charter Schools? -Flexible, part-time schedule -Mission-driven, student-centered environment -Opportunity to support the whole childacademically, physically, and emotionally -Collaborative and supportive school community -Meaningful, impactful work without full-time commitment View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Valid California School Nurse Services Credential required.
