Job Description

Primary Purpose:

Assume leadership and responsibility for school functions, instruction and outcomes

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Manage the day-to-day operation of the School, including implementing and monitoring plans, procedures, programs, and systems to achieve clearly defined and desired outcomes

Success measured by systemic leadership rubric

Establish a shared vision of success

Provide effective coaching and professional development

Facilitate individual growth of teachers and other staff members

Strengthen leadership capacity

Recruit and retain effective teachers

Work with the Principal to recruit and hire effective teachers

Retain effective teachers

Create a positive work environment and a high-performance culture

Communicate with external and internal stakeholders

Communicate with staff and practice sense-making

Build positive relations with parents and other school stakeholders

Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Specific staff as assigned by the building principal

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree required, or currently enrolled in a program

Minimum of two years administrative experience in a K-12 setting

Minimum of five years of teaching experience

Early literacy specialist

Ability to provide exceptional instructional feedback

Motivate and inspire staff

Multi-task and excellent time management

Superior knowledge of operational leadership and effectiveness

Solid understanding of basic teaching pedagogy
