Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract A school district in Syracuse, NY is seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (SLP-CF) for the upcoming school year. This is an excellent opportunity to complete your Clinical Fellowship in a supportive, high-need urban school environment with strong supervision and mentorship. Position Overview
Full-time, Monday-Friday (35-40 hours/week)
Onsite role serving PreK-12 students across assigned buildings
CF supervision provided by a licensed SLP
Full school-year contract with potential for renewal
Caseload Details
Average caseload: 40-60 students (varies by school assignment)
Students with mild to moderate communication needs
Areas of service include:
Articulation & phonological disorders
Receptive/expressive language delays
Social/pragmatic communication needs
Fluency and voice disorders
Likely exposure to:
Autism spectrum disorders
AAC/assistive communication devices
Multilingual and economically diverse populations
Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations
Develop and implement IEP goals
Provide direct therapy (individual and small group)
Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
Maintain documentation and compliance with district/state requirements
New York State Requirements (SLP-CF)
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Eligibility for Initial Teaching Certification (Speech and Language Disabilities) through the New York State Education Department
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship (CF) year under a licensed SLP
Licensure through the New York State Office of the Professions
Passing the Praxis exam typically required for certification/licensure
Required fingerprinting and school clearance process

Compensation for this position ranges from $36.70 to $56.70. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
