Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract School Nurse / LVN (Elementary School - 1:1 Support) We are seeking an experienced and reliable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide dedicated 1:1 support for an elementary-aged male student with high medical needs during the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details: Schedule: Full-time (school hours; exact schedule to be determined)
Setting: Elementary school, onsite
Assignment: ASAP Student Focus: 1:1 support for medically fragile student
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous health monitoring and support throughout the school day
Respond to and manage frequent epileptic seizure activity
Recognize and respond to seizure cues and implement emergency protocols
Administer emergency seizure medication via nasal route as prescribed
Utilize and be familiar with VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) magnet seizure protocol
Provide assistance with toileting and daily care needs
Maintain close observation to ensure student safety at all times
Collaborate with school staff, family, and medical providers regarding care plan implementation
Document health-related incidents and interventions accurately and timely
Qualifications:
Active LVN license
Strong experience working with pediatric patients with seizure disorders
Prior 1:1 school-based or pediatric medical support experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with seizure protocols, including VNS and emergency medication administration
High level of reliability and consistency in attendance is required due to the critical nature of care
This is a highly supportive and essential role for a student requiring consistent medical oversight throughout the school day.
Compensation for this position ranges from $26.81 to $46.81. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
