We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support an elementary school caseload (Grades K-4) focused on emotional support services. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Scranton, PA, with an immediate start date and the potential for extension into the next school year (NSY). Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling services to students in grades K-4
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and special education teams to support student success
Develop and implement individualized strategies and interventions for students with emotional and behavioral needs
Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal development and progress monitoring
Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) required
Valid Pennsylvania School Social Worker certification or eligibility
Previous experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in emotional support settings, preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
