Clinton Central School Corporation is seeking a qualified and student-centered Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students with disabilities in accessing their educational environment. The OT will provide services that enhance students' ability to participate in academic and functional school activities in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and applicable state regulations.
Essential Job Duties:
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluation as part of the special education referral and reevaluation process.
- Develop, implement, and monitor therapy services aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in classroom, small group, and individual settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student access to the general education curriculum.
- Support the development of fine motor, sensory regulation, self-care, and functional school skills.
Recommend and support the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.
IEP Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with the student's IEP, including frequency, duration, and setting.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state special education regulations, including timelines for evaluations. IEP implementation, and progress reporting.
- Document therapy services, student progress, and data collection in the district's special education system.
- Participate in case conferences.
- Ensure IEPs are finalized within required timelines and accurately reflect services and supports.
- Provide input and documentation for progress monitoring as a legal requirement under IDEA.
Complete accurate, timely, and compliant service documentation to support Medicaid reimbursement for eligible services.

Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Indiana.
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Knowledge of school-based service delivery models and special education laws and procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a school setting.
- Experience with Medicaid billing in a school setting.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
- Experience working with students with a wide range of disabilities.
Working Conditions:
- Services may be provided across multiple school buildings.
- Combination of classroom, therapy, and office settings.
- May require lifting, positioning, and assisting students with physical needs.
