Job Description
JOB GOAL :
Under the direction of the school psychologist and supervision of building principal(s) or designee(s),
the TOA will support the school psychologist in completing tasks that are related to completing the
MET evaluation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Qualifications to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to Perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the
knowledge, skills, and/or abilities reguired to be successful:
Valid Fingerprint Card
Certified Special Education teacher with teacher certification (preferred)
Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional and/or learning disabilities
Has experience with crisis intervention procedures/methods
Has experience with individual and small group counseling for students with disabilities
Demonstrates organizational ability
Clear and professional communication skills (verbal and written)
Skills:
Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and
analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in individual and
group problem solving situations.
Customer Service - Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to
customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.
Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness
to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team
environment; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale and group

goals; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate personnel with an alternate plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ResP-_onsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Administers academic assessments.
Attend MET and IEP meetings as needed
Collaborate with and/or support the student team

Coordinates communication with teachers and parents.
Distributes academic and behavioral rating scales/checklists.
Documents various areas of assessment results and data provided by educational team.
Gathers input from education team.
Manages timelines for receiving information for the MET.
Schedules meetings
Support the development of the behavior intervention plans
Support the development of the functional behavior assessments
Supports all psychologists in the school district.
Perform all duties assigned
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
10 months; teacher work schedule.

Must pass Department of Public Safety Rngerprint clearance check.
Must be United States citizen or have valid work visa at date of hire with the ability to
maintain. All changes in visa status must be reported to Human Resources immediately. Photo
identification and work visa, (if necessary), will be needed for fingerprint clearance card and 1- 9
documentation prior to the first day of work.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated according to the Board's policy on the Related
Service Evaluation.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
Proof of Mumps, Measles and Rubella, (MMR) vaccination.
Valid government issued identification or current work visa with expiration date.
Unofficial copies of transcripts will be accepted with applications, official transcriQts will be due
