School Nurse

PRIMARY TASKS & MAJOR ACTIVITIES

Maintain state-required immunization/health records in electronic system. Complete essential health screenings. Deliver first aid and administer medication per policy. Develop individual health plans and implement action plans for acute illnesses or injuries. Promote and protect the physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of students/staff. Utilize communication skills to coordinate student care and provide health education to parents/staff.

EDUCATIONAL/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

RN required. At least two years clinical experience. Prefer school, emergency, or pediatric nursing experience. Must successfully pass a background check and drug test that are satisfactory to the Board of Education. Willingness to understand and support District's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.
