Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current and valid SLP license for Connecticut
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with K-12 populations in school settings is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective therapy plans tailored to students diverse needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to determine students speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and carry out individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Provide direct intervention services to support speech and language development
- Monitor and document students progress, adjust interventions as necessary, and maintain thorough records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning for students with communication disorders
- Offer guidance and resources to support teachers in fostering inclusive classroom communication
