We're seeking an experienced RN or LPN with a passion for making a difference in children's lives to provide 1:1 support for a student with complex medical needs. The student is non-verbal, uses a wheelchair, and experiences seizures, necessitating vigilant and skilled nursing oversight. This assignment is based near New Bedford, MA, with working hours from Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 9:00am, and again from 2:30pm - 4:30pm to meet the student for bus pickup and drop off, ensuring safe transport to and from school. Immediate start available. Key Qualifications: Current licensure as an RN or LPN/LVN in Massachusetts Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations, especially those with seizures or mobility challenges Comfortable utilizing lifts and supporting wheelchair-bound students Strong communication skills, especially in working with non-verbal students CPR/BLS certification (required) Ability to remain attentive, calm, and flexible during transport and transitions Primary Responsibilities: Accompany the assigned student on their daily bus rides, providing 1:1 medical support Monitor for and respond appropriately to seizure activity or medical emergencies Assist with any medical interventions or documentation as needed during transport Liaise professionally with school staff and transportation personnel to ensure safe, seamless care This position offers a competitive pay rate of $50/hr, allowing you to earn while making a real impact in a student's daily life.
