RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Responsible for and provides leadership and structure for the overall administration and day-to-day operations of an elementary school. Provides leadership in the establishment of a positive building climate for the staff, students, parents, and community. Responsible for and provides leadership in the planning, developing, implementation, and evaluation of district approved curriculum and instructional programs at an elementary school. Responsible for the effective evaluation and timely feedback of staff assigned to an elementary school. Responsible for the operation of the main office and counseling office. Provides leadership in managing school safety and security processes including crisis management procedures. Supervises athletic events, evening school functions, and attends school-related community events. Responsible for safety inspections and safety drill practice activities. Responsible for and supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance and works with the Engagement and Wellness Coordinator, as well as, the building counselor, social worker or student support coach for investigative follow-up actions. Responsible for maintaining discipline throughout the student body and deals with special cases as necessary. Provides leadership in establishing and enforcing the student handbook Skill in monitoring student achievement and assessment and leading data-driven decision making improvements, as needed A commitment to an active parent-school partnership to further the communities understanding of the educational program Serves with parent, faculty and student groups as requested in advancing educational and related activities and objectives. Provides leadership for staff professional development. Provides assistance in evaluating the condition of building, grounds, and equipment. Participates in and responsible for the implementation of district wide policies and programs.
