Position Overview
Killington Mountain School seeks a highly relational, organized, and energetic
Director of Admissions to lead enrollment efforts and serve as a visible ambassador for the school. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Director of Admissions will guide prospective and returning families through every stage of the enrollment process while helping KMS continue to grow its reputation and reach. The role includes overseeing admissions for approximately 120 students across multiple programs while collaborating closely with coaches, athletic program directors, faculty, and school leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the admissions and enrollment process from inquiry through retention
  • Serve as the primary contact for prospective and returning families
  • Manage admissions communications, tours, events, and outreach initiatives
  • Build relationships with feeder programs, coaches, and community partners
  • Represent KMS at competitions, recruitment events, and school functions
  • Collaborate with academic and athletic leadership on enrollment strategy and financial aid
  • Maintain admissions data, CRM systems, and key enrollment metrics while supporting retention and community engagement

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven success in admissions, enrollment, sales, or related fields
  • Experience with skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, or similar athletic communities preferred.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
