Assistant Principal - William S. Hackett Middle School
Step 1 - $117,520.00
APSAA JOB OPPORTUNITY
Provides instructional leadership to staff including: academic and curriculum planning, review and implementation; and professional development. Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school. Serves as the principal in the absence of the regular principal. Cooperates in the conducting of safety inspections and safety drills. Handles student discipline. Maintains records and documents relating to student discipline, which includes daily student discipline reports outlining ISS, OSS, administrative detention, etc. Serves with parent, faculty, student, and other school-related groups as requested. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal assigns. Other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Valid NYS Certification: SAS/SDA or SBL
Minimum five years (5) teaching experience
Urban school experience preferred
Demonstrated success in administration, supervisory and/or school-based leadership positions.
