ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate (Principal K-12 or equivalent).
Minimum of three (3) years of successful classroom teaching
Prior leadership experience in an instructional or administrative role
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices, student development, school operations, and student support
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with administrators, staff, students, families, and community members.
Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology and data

JOB GOAL
To assist the Principal in providing instructional, cultural, and operational leadership for the school by supporting teaching and learning, fostering a positive and safe school climate, and ensuring effective implementation of school policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with district goals.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructional and Student Support Leadership
Assists in the supervision and evaluation of instructional staff to support high-quality teaching
Conducts classroom observations, walkthroughs, and provides feedback under the direction of the
Supports the implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional initiatives aligned with Pennsylvania Academic
Uses student performance data to support instructional improvement and targeted interventions.
Assists with the coordination and monitoring of special education services, Section 504 plans, gifted education, MTSS, and IEP

Assists in maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive school
Supports the administration of student discipline in a fair, consistent, developmentally appropriate, and legally compliant

Supports implementation of positive behavior systems and school-wide
Operational and Systems Leadership
Assists with the implementation and enforcement of Board policies, administrative regulations, and school
Supports daily school operations, including supervision of arrival, dismissal, lunch, recess, hallways, and extracurricular activities as
Assists in emergency preparedness, safety drills, and crisis
Supports accurate student record-keeping and reporting
Assists with scheduling, testing coordination, substitute coverage, and supervision plans as
