    Position Opening: Speech Language Pathologist (Grades 512)
    Location: Rockford Area Schools
    Position Type: .8-1.0 FTE | School Year: 20262027

    Position Overview:
    Rockford Area Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our special education team for the 20262027 school year. This full-time position will serve students in grades 512 with a range of communication needs. The ideal candidate will be student-focused, collaborative, and committed to fostering growth in communication, academic, and social-emotional skills.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Provide speech-language services to students with disabilities in grades 512
    • Conduct formal and informal assessments to determine eligibility and guide instruction
    • Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with the IEP team
    • Maintain a consistent and effective data collection system to track student progress and communicate clearly with families and staff
    • Collaborate with general and special education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to deliver coordinated support
    • Actively participate in IEP meetings and maintain compliance with state and federal special education laws
    • Support a positive, inclusive learning environment for students with varying communication needs

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Valid Minnesota SLP license or eligible for licensure
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Demonstrated commitment to working with students with disabilities
    • Experience in school-based settings and familiarity with IEP processes preferred
