Occupational Therapist (OT) Pediatric School Position | South Chicago, IL
A school district serving the South Chicago area is currently hiring a full-time Occupational Therapist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This school-based opportunity focuses on helping students strengthen the motor, sensory, and functional skills needed to succeed in the classroom and daily school routines.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Complete occupational therapy assessments, evaluations, and progress monitoring for students receiving services.
- Design and implement individualized therapy interventions based on student needs and educational goals.
- Support students with fine motor coordination, sensory processing, adaptive skills, and classroom accessibility.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to help students achieve success across educational settings.
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute recommendations regarding therapy goals, accommodations, and support services.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines.
- Provide services through onsite sessions and virtual therapy platforms when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapist license required.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
