Job Description
High School Administrative Assistant
The HMS High School Administrative Assistant position helps assure the smooth and efficient operation of the high school office so that the office's maximum positive impact on the education of students can be realized. This individual will play an essential role in supporting students, staff, families, and the community while helping maintain a positive and welcoming school environment.
Duties would include:
Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with a busy yet productive and smoothly run office.
Welcome and assist visitors, students, parents, and community members.
Receive and route incoming phone calls and communications.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
Assist with bookkeeping and office-related financial tasks associated with the position.
Assist with ordering and organizing building supplies.
Maintain daily attendance records for students, teachers, and substitutes.
Coordinate and maintain cumulative student records and files.
Become proficient in the IC Student Management System to manage attendance, communication, grading, scheduling, registration, and other student records.
Support administrators and staff with organizational and clerical needs.
Maintain professionalism and positive rapport with students, staff, parents, and the community.
Assist with additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
