Position Objective:The person in this role is responsible for providing support to the teachers, parents/guardians,and students with a specific responsibility and focus on the communication needs of students. The primary role within this position is to service students on the assigned caseload, to conduct evaluations, participate in Team meetings, be an active participant in our BuildingBased Support Teams, and provide creative and thoughtful recommendations to aid in studentsuccess. The FLRSD is seeking a speech and language pathologist who is caring, empathetic,compassionate, and committed to each student's success, while also demonstrating a proficientunderstanding of compliance with the DESE standards.

Responsibilities:

Conducts speech and language hearing screenings.Provide speech/language therapy following students individualized education program goals and services.Document student performance.Complete required progress reports of students receiving speech/language services.Evaluate students to determine level of communication skills.Develop treatment plans in accordance with student needs.Prepare materials and scheduling of students.Provide speech and language therapy for clinic students.Work collaboratively as a member of the educational team.Communicate with parents regarding students' communication needs and their progress.

Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in Speech Language PathologyMassachusetts DESE Licensure in Speech LanguageDivision of Professional License as Speech Language PathologistMust pass a pre-employment criminal background checkPreferred Qualifications:Three (3) Years of ExperienceDemonstrated success in designing and delivering speech and language lessons aligned with the goals and objectives in the students' IEPsExperience differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including English Learners and students with disabilitiesKnowledge of data-driven instruction and use of assessment to inform therapeutic practicesStrong ability to conduct speech and language evaluations, write evaluation reports, and present at team meetingsFamiliarity with inclusive practices and culturally responsive teachingProficiency with technology, digital learning tools, and blended learning approachesEffective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and administratorsCommitment to continuous professional growth and reflective practiceAbility to foster an engaging, supportive, and respectful learning environment that promotes equity and high expectations for all students

Salary & Terms of Employment: In accordance with the Freetown-Lakeville Regional School Collective Bargaining Agreement. Employment is contingent upon job performance, program needs, and funding. Salary Range: $51,273 or higher depending on education and experience
