Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role providing essential psychological support in a school setting, serving students across all grade levels. As a full-time School Psychologist, you'll collaborate closely with the Director of Special Education to assess student needs and help shape action plans that ensure student success. The district is eager to welcome fresh insight and commitment to a position that's been open for two yearsthose pursuing state licensure are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Master's degree (MA, MS, or M.Ed.) in a relevant field Certification as a School Psychologist, or pursuing certification At least three years of experience supporting students across elementary to high school Demonstrated strengths in diagnostic, evaluative, and counseling skills Responsibilities: Conduct timely psychological evaluations for students referred by school staff or parents Meet with families to discuss evaluation results and provide guidance Observe students in the classroom to assess needs and inform interventions Perform additional assessments as necessary (including Kindergarten screening) Serve as a knowledgeable resource to staff regarding diagnoses or disabilities Actively participate on CSE, CPSE, and 504 committees, sharing your expertise Review psycho-educational evaluations from external sources Offer short-term individual or small group counseling to students Respond adeptly to emergency or crisis situations and consult with school counselors Refer students to appropriate local or regional agencies when additional support is required Prioritize confidentiality in all matters Foster positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, and colleagues Take on additional duties as directed by the Director of Special Education This contract opportunity provides a fulfilling way to make a difference in students' lives while working in a supportive educational environment.
