Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship status
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for Speech-Language Pathology in Alaska
- Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of speech, language, and communication disorders affecting school-aged children
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and participate in IEP meetings
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to support each students educational journey
- Offer consultation and resources to educators and families as needed
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
