Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supports the proper management of appointments and contracts: Coordinating teaching evaluations (both in terms of administration and reporting). Leads the administrative side of tenure and promotion; yearly faculty reviews; Oversees and facilitates the process for contract renewals and change; Oversees and facilitates administrative processes for faculty leaves, summer research, retirement processes, course reliefs and associated pay structures; Oversees the management of Olins internal faculty practices and policies, including file/data managements, alignment with university practices, etc.
- Perform other school-wide administrative functions and duties as assigned, such as accreditation, data management and analysis, etc.
- Work with academic and administrative staff to support faculty needs in teaching, research, and service activities, including but not limited to hiring student TAs, RAs, managing the visa process for international teaching assignments, etc. Oversee the grants process including budget reviews, reporting, etc.
- Supports faculty and post-doc recruitment efforts, working with department chairs and search committees in navigating the administrative processes, starting with job postings, and continuing up through interviewing, coordinating travel, and facilitating offers
- Supports the onboarding process for new faculty and Vice Deans, including visa processing, ensuring a smooth integration into the University and school (including facilitating associated events), as well as familiarity with policies, resources, and academic expectations
- Other Duties As Assigned.
