POSITION SUMMARY : CCSD89 is seeking an elementary school Social Worker for the 2026-2027 school year at Park View Elementary School. In this role the Social Worker will support students' academic and social-emotional growth.
QUALIFICATION:
- Completion of a Master's degree program in school social work.
- Evidence of professional certification as a School Social Worker in Illinois.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)
- Evaluate the social, emotional, behavioral and health needs of all students and participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team by conducting school social work components as part of the evaluation process.
- Identify, create and implement social work IEP goals and services.
- Provide individual and group social work services.
- Conduct functional behavioral analysis in collaboration with the school team.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies and assisting the development and monitoring of behavioral intervention plans.
- Work collaboratively and serve as a liaison between school, families and community resources.
- Ability to evaluate building needs and develop responsive programs to social emotional needs.
- Understand and practice in accordance with local, state, and federal laws, statutes, and policies that relate to students and families.
- Maintain materials and accurate case records and documentation.
- Participation in the 504 development, placement and evaluation process, including case management. Complete initial and re-evaluation case studies that include interviews with students, parents and teachers.
- Participate in the building MTSS Team about tiered SEL support and interventions.
- Prepare and appropriately file district and state reports in a timely manner as required.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. In addition, the ability to withstand long-term use of computer terminals is required.
- The employee may occasionally lift to 30 pounds such as office equipment and test packets.

- Work is usually conducted indoors. This work could be conducted at any school or home site
Salary and Benefits:
All certified staff are placed on a salary schedule according to education and experience as part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The starting BA, 1 salary for the 2026-2027 year is $57,220.00
Certified staff experience 12 sick days and 4 personal days of paid time off. All full-time staff have the privilege of partaking in our health and dental insurance programs; these include up to 90% Board paid health insurance for the employee and 100% Board paid dental insurance for the individual staff member.
