School Nurse and Health Science CTE Teacher

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's Degree; valid Texas Teaching Certificate or willingness to enter a teacher certification program; two years nursing experience; leadership skills; ability to maintain records and documentation as required; effective classroom management techniques; excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilites:

General, minor care and emergency care of students; vision and hearing screenings; maintenance of student shot records; lead the School Health Advisory Council (SHAC); maintain awareness and compliance of state and federal regulations related to student health services; teach Health Science CTE courses
