School Psychologist - Cottage Grove, MN

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students across elementary and middle school levels for the upcoming school year. Beginning August 31, 2026 through June 4, 2027, you will provide vital services to diverse K-8 learners, dedicating 37.5 hours per week to two welcoming school buildings. With manageable caseloadsapproximately 2535 elementary students (K5th) and 2030 middle schoolers (6th8th)this role lets you make a tangible difference each day.

Key qualifications:

• Active Minnesota School Psychologist license required
• Experience supporting K8 populations preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Background in student counseling and behavioral intervention strategies
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Proficiency in crisis response and safety planning

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Offer direct counseling services and behavioral interventions
• Work closely with classroom teachers, administrators, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Conduct assessments and provide recommendations for student support services
• Participate in crisis intervention and planning for student safety, ensuring a supportive learning environment
• Maintain documentation and contribute to team meetings
