The Director is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, SELPA, and local special education regulations while supporting high-quality services for students with disabilities. This position provides leadership in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of special education programs and services, including IEP compliance, staff support, student case management, related services coordination, and parent collaboration. The Director of Special Education will carry and manage an assigned caseload of special education students, including oversight of IEP development, compliance timelines, service coordination, progress monitoring, and communication with families and service providers. The Director will supervise and support special education personnel, coordinate assessments and student services, facilitate IEP processes, and provide direct support and instruction during Extended School Year (ESY) and summer programming as assigned.
