Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Lehigh Acres, FL

Looking to make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant? An exciting contract opportunity is available in a dynamic school environment near Lehigh Acres, FL, beginning this August and continuing through May. Youll work in multiple schools, collaborating with dedicated professionals to help students thrive in their communication goals.

This role offers a flexible part-time schedule of 7.5 to 22.5 hours per week, with the possibility to combine locations for additional hoursand the potential to move into a full-time schedule if supervision becomes available. Caseloads typically include 50-55 students across elementary and middle school settings.

What youll need:

• Active Florida Department of Health SLPA license
• Previous experience in school-based therapy preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and requirements
• Familiarity with time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprint clearance and JLA badge procedures (transferable or verifiable prints can expedite onboarding)
• Reliable transportation to multiple campuses as required

Your responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of an SLP to deliver speech/language interventions
• Support the creation and execution of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Track student progress and report findings to supervising clinicians
• Collaborate with educators and families to maximize each students achievement
• Maintain accurate records and assist in a positive, inclusive school culture
