Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license in Virginia
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA required
- Previous experience in a K-12 educational environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, goal development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to students per IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for students with a variety of speech and language disorders
- Maintain clear and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, serving as a knowledgeable resource for intervention strategies and communication needs
- Work collaboratively with school staff to adapt learning environments and support generalization of communication skills
- Foster an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for students with diverse abilities
In this full-time role, youll work a steady 37.5 hours per week during the school year, from late July through late May, supporting students across school locations in the Winchester area.
